Michael A. Gilkey, Jr. is a licensed landscape architect, overseeing all operations of the design, contracting, and maintenance divisions of Michael A. Gilkey, Inc. Michael received a Bachelor’s Degree in Landscape Architecture from the University of Florida in 1999, and was licensed and registered in Florida in 2004. He is a member of the American Society of Landscape Architects and serves on the Board of Directors for the Florida Wildflower Foundation.

Laura Gilkey received a Bachelor’s Degree in Landscape Architecture from the University of Florida in 2000. She is the Marketing Director and design consultant for Michael A. Gilkey, Inc.

Gavin Cain received a Bachelor’s Degree in Landscape Architecture from the University of Florida in 2009, receiving the Landscape Architecture Foundation’s University of Florida Olmsted Scholar Award in the same year. Gavin is currently pursuing landscape architecture licensure.

Now retired, company founder Michael A. Gilkey, Sr. continues to inspire and advise the firm regularly. He enjoys spending time with his family and grandchildren, and is building his recreational drawing portfolio.

Ken Kiger is a licensed horticulturalist and Pesticide Applicator. Ken oversees all pesticide and fertilizer applications for the Maintenance Division of Michael A. Gilkey, Inc. and provides quality control and customer service for our clientele.

Brian Desormier is the Supervisor of Operations for the Maintenance Division of Michael A. Gilkey, Inc, overseeing all maintenance practices.
